Kai Sotto to be part of NBA All Star Basketball Without Borders Global Camp
Kai Sotto will have a bigger spotlight shining at him as the Philippine teenage prodigy has been selected as part of an exclusive 64-player line-up that will star in the 2020 Basketball Without Borders Global Camp.
Part of the NBA All Star Weekend 2020 festivities, the Global Camp will feature the best youngsters – boys and girls – all over the world.
Representatives of the Global Camp this year came from 31 different countries.
Sotto is the 2nd Filipino to take part in the Global Camp, following the footsteps of fellow Gilas Pilipinas youth teammate AJ Edu.
Among the coaches of the camp this year are Tacko Fall and Davis Bertans.
Players who take part in the BWB GC usually have potential to make it big in the international scene.
For instance, Perennial NBA all star and African Joel Embiid took part in BWB camps before.
The 7-foot-2 Sotto, who is playing for The Skills Factory developmental squad, is already receiving scholarship offers from prestigious Division I university teams in the United States.
