NBA: McCollum, Harden score 44 each in duel as Blazers top Rockets [WATCH]

CJ McCollum scored 44 points while Damian Lillard added 32 as the Portland Trail Blazers leaned on its stars to edge the Houston Rockets, 128-126 in an overtime thriller Saturday night.
McCollum hit 9 triples in the victory including the go-ahead trey with 6.3 seconds left in extension.

He and Lillard combined for 17 assists. Big man Jusuf Nurkic had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Blazers spoiled a 44-point, 17-assist outing from Rockets superstar James Harden.

Harden hit back to back triples which gave the Rockets a momentary 126-125 lead in the final 15 seconds, before McCollum answered with a game-winner of his own.

Harden was fined $50,000 days ago due to a violation of the league’s rulebook for guidelines during season play amidst the pandemic.

Christian Wood was also phenomenal for the Rockets, finishing with 31 points and 13 boards in the loss.
