Cardinals Fans Swear a Lot, Yet Rank Second-Most Positive in NFL
Arizona Cardinals fans swear often on Reddit, yet they rank as the NFL’s second-most positive fandom, an ActionNetwork.com analysis found. Overall, 51.11% of their comments carried a positive tone, trailing only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The same study placed the Cardinals fourth in profanity, with 14.48% of their Reddit comments containing swear words. They are the only team to land in the top five of both rankings.

Cardinals Fans Rank Fourth Among NFL’s Most Foul-Mouthed Fandoms
ActionNetwork.com analyzed 2,570,728 comments from the subreddits of all 32 NFL clubs, covering August 2025 to September 2026. Each club was ranked by the share of its comments that contained swear words.
New York Giants fans topped the profanity chart at 14.98%, ahead of the Indianapolis Colts (14.88%) and Cleveland Browns (14.72%). The Cardinals followed at 14.48%, with the New York Jets fifth at 14.34%.
At the other end, Buffalo Bills fans were the politest at 10.70%. The Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers tied for second at 10.98%.
Cardinals Fans Land Second in NFL Positivity Rankings
Every comment was also run through a sentiment analysis tool that classified it as positive, negative or neutral. Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans led the NFL with 51.71% of comments carrying a positive tone.
The Cardinals came next at 51.11%, followed by the Denver Broncos (50.75%), Kansas City Chiefs (50.60%) and Tennessee Titans (50.13%). Arizona did not appear among the five most negative fandoms.
The Indianapolis Colts were the most negative fandom, with 26.32% of comments carrying a negative tone. The Colts, Browns and Jets also made the top five for profanity.
ActionNetwork.com identified 324,858 comments containing swear words across the 32 clubs, with a minimum of 40,000 comments collected per club. The final analysis was carried out in September 2026. The data reflects Reddit commenters, not all fans.
