NBA: Giannis Antetokounmpo wins 2020 Defensive Player award
Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has won the 2020 NBA Defensive Player of the Year honor.
The reigning league MVP bested Los Angeles Lakers’ Anthony Davis and Utah Jazz’s Rudy Gobert for the annual distinction.

Antetokounmpo averaged 29.5 PPG, 13.6 RPG, 5.6 APG, 1 SPG, and 1 BPG throughout the season, leading the Bucks to a league-best defensive rating.
The ‘Greek Freak’ is also only the 3rd player to average at least 25-10-5-1-1 in a season.
The top-seeded Bucks currently lead the 8th-seeded Orlando Magic, 3-1 in their Eastern Conference playoffs 1st round match-up.
