The star of the highly anticipated upcoming TV show Til I Met You Nadine Lustre revealed the worst criticisms she’s received in her latest interview with Pond’s. The young actress revealed that early in her showbiz career, she was immediately compared with other actresses. Nadine shares, “’Yung pinaka hindi ko makakalimutan (The one thing I will never forget) was being told, ‘She’ll never make it.”

Nadine started her career in showbiz as a bit-part actress, getting cast as an extra, starring in commercials, and doing voice overs. She experienced her first big break when she landed the lead role in the movie adaptation of Diary ng Panget. This project was the turning point in her career, leading her to star in a slew of TV shows, movies and commercials. However, it was not all glitz and glamour. Nadine admits she “felt pressured before, kasi marami ang alam kong mas maganda. Sasabihin sa’kin na (I’ve been told) ‘She doesn’t look good’ and ‘She looks ordinary.” These comparisons with other celebrities and comments from when she started are things she still keeps with her, as she holds back tears during the emotional clip.

Nadine admits that her career uptake coincided with the change in her personal outlook toward herself that helped her get over that slump. “I told myself, I’m going to improve. I’m going to be better,” she shares. Her renewed commitment and passion for her work was complemented by her desire to take care of herself and her skin. “I felt more confident after that. I felt more beautiful,” she adds.

When it comes to her beauty routine, Nadine opts for a trusted name that has helped countless women with their transformations, Pond’s. As the current endorser for Pond’s White Beauty, she attests to the lasting positive effects of using this product, a clinically proven formula with advanced pro-vitamin B3 that works from inside the skin to light up millions of dark cells and fade stubborn spots at the source. The result? “Not just rosy white skin that glows from within, but also the confidence that I look beautiful,” Nadine shares.

Nadine’s beautiful story may be her own, but she has shown how every woman can take control of her destiny starting with having a positive attitude, the determination to accomplish her dreams, and a willingness to take care of herself. “They told me I was never going to make it, but here I am!” she says. “And if it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone.”
