Atarayo Announces Album, Asia Tour After Sold-Out Shows
Atarayo isn’t slowing down, and fans across Asia are proving it by selling out show after show. Fresh off a sold-out Malaysia stop, the band has unveiled its new album, “私雨に夏の灯を知る Watakushiameninatsunohiwoshiru,” alongside a sprawling international tour that will carry the group from Japan to Hong Kong to Taipei by year’s end.
Leading the charge is “魚 Fish,” a new single built around a question that never quite gets answered: “Have we still got time?” The song doesn’t resolve that ache — it just lets it grow louder with every chorus.
New Single Captures the Ache of Time Slipping Away
“魚 Fish” lives in the space between holding on and letting go, that specific ache of wanting just a little more time with someone or something you already suspect is slipping. Piano lines cut through a full band arrangement, building into a mid-tempo track that carries both the warmth of summer and the restlessness underneath it.
The track is emotionally direct without over-explaining itself, melodically sharp enough to catch listeners on the first spin, and built on exactly the kind of tension that makes you want to hit repeat before it’s even finished.
“魚 Fish” arrives as a preview of Atarayo’s upcoming nine-track album, which also features previously released songs “ハク Haku” and “春となり Spring is coming.” The record drops on August 19, with its cover art having already been revealed on July 3. Fans will be able to pick it up in two physical formats: a standard edition and a video edition packaged with Blu-ray.
Sold-Out Shows Fuel Expanding Asia Tour
Atarayo isn’t just dropping a new record — it’s backing it with one of the band’s most ambitious touring runs yet. The trek kicked off with a sold-out show in Malaysia on July 24, followed by a Bangkok date on July 26.
From there, the band heads home for a Japan leg starting in Osaka on August 22, with stops in Aichi, Fukuoka and Tokyo to follow. Atarayo will then head back overseas for three already sold-out shows in Hong Kong in October, closing out the run with a Taipei date in December.
With a new album, a haunting lead single, and a tour selling out well ahead of showtime, Atarayo is proving its emotionally direct songwriting continues to strike a chord well beyond Japan.
