STARGLOW Takes Basketball to New Heights in Daring ‘Slam Dunk’ Music Video
STARGLOW went sky-high with “Slam Dunk,” a music video that puts its five members on a basketball hoop suspended above a city at night. The hip-hop single arrived Monday as a preview of the group’s debut album, “Aurora.”
The track doubles as a statement of intent. Built around basketball, it captures the group’s drive to push past obstacles and defy expectations. The choreography is the toughest STARGLOW has attempted so far.

Inside the Slam Dunk Music Video
Choreographer ReiNa of dance crew RHT. created the routine, which is billed as the group’s most difficult yet. Behind-the-scenes footage shows the hoop scenes were shot outdoors with wire work. The song comes from David Arkwright and SKY-HI.
The video premiered at 9 p.m. Japan time on Oct. 26, with a behind-the-scenes cut following the next day. A dance performance video has since been released, and the roughly 46-minute full making-of will come with select editions of “Aurora.”
STARGLOW’s Aurora Album and Tour
“Aurora” arrives Nov. 18 with 14 tracks, including “Slam Dunk,” the pre-debut song “Moonchaser” and the single “USOTSUKI.” The album caps a fast first year for a group that debuted in January 2026 under SKY-HI-led BMSG.
STARGLOW was the only Japanese act named to NME’s “100 Artists to Watch in 2026” list, and “USOTSUKI” reached No. 1 on Oricon’s weekly digital single ranking and No. 2 on the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100. The group played its first arena shows in August.
Days before “Slam Dunk” arrived, TAIKI, KANON and ADAM released a cover of “Live My Life,” a song by HEARTSTEEL, Riot Games’ virtual group tied to “League of Legends.” The video follows the trio as they record their version.
The next test is the road. STARGLOW starts its first arena tour on Jan. 16, 2027, in Niigata. The 14-show run covers seven locations in Japan and ends at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena on April 11.
