These appearances came as ONE OR EIGHT achieved a significant breakthrough on the Mediabase U.S. Top 40 chart. Their latest single “TOKYO DRIFT” debuted at No. 38, making them the Japanese boy group with the most entries on the chart following their earlier track “DSTM.”

The achievement highlights when and how the group is gaining traction internationally, reinforcing its position as one of the fastest-rising acts from Japan in the global music scene.

Global rise powered by music and milestones

The group’s latest project, GATHER, represents its most ambitious release so far, combining modern Japanese pop with diverse genre influences and high-energy production. The mini-album features “TOKYO DRIFT,” which samples the Teriyaki Boyz classic while reflecting the group’s message of self-belief and ambition.

Its music video captures the fast-paced energy of Tokyo while emphasizing the group’s creative direction and identity. The release builds on a series of achievements that have steadily elevated ONE OR EIGHT’s international profile.

Since debuting on August 16, 2024, the group has delivered multiple milestones, including a No. 1 debut on the Billboard Japan Heatseekers Songs chart with “Don’t Tell Nobody.” The track was produced by Ryan Tedder and David Stewart, adding global hitmaking credentials to their early success.
