NBA: Bradley Beal almost traded to OKC in 2012
Washington Wizards all star Bradley Beal revealed that he was almost traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder on NBA Draft Night 2012.
According to the shooting guard, the Thunder were trying to move higher in the draft and land him.
In return for the pick, OKC would ship James Harden to the Wizards.

Instead, Beal, an 8-year veteran, was selected 3rd overall by the Wizards in the 2012 draft.
The Thunder, which were coming off a Finals appearance the season before, drafted at no. 28 and selected Perry Jones III.
Harden, as fans know by now, was eventually traded in the same year but to the Houston Rockets for a package involving Kevin Martin and Jeremy Lamb.
Beal’s revelation only makes people think about what could have been if him, Russell Westbrook, and Kevin Durant joined forces for a new Big 3 in OKC.
On the other hand, a John Wall-James Harden backcourt would have been just as lethal for Washington in the East and could have led to deeper runs in the playoffs.
