In separate announcements by Smart and the Lakers, it was known that all three players also contracted the virus.

The Celtics were among the last five teams the Utah Jazz played against. Jazz all-stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell both tested positive for the virus a week ago.
Likewise, the Lakers mentioned that their two players who tested positive for the virus did not show symptoms, or were asymptomatic.
The Lakers played the Brooklyn Nets prior to the NBA season suspension. Four Nets, including superstar Kevin Durant, also contracted the virus.
