Wyatt’s 3 help Alab Pilipinas survive Tucker, Formosa Dreamers, 100-99
Khalif Wyatt nailed a triple with 27 seconds left as San Miguel Alab Pilipinas fended off the Formosa Dreamers late, 100-99 Sunday for their 4th straight win in the 2019-2020 ASEAN Basketball League season.
Alab led by 8, 95-87 after a Jason Brickman triple before Formosa import Anthony Tucker went on fire from 3-point land, going on a personal 12-point blast.
His last triple pushed Formosa ahead, 99-97, before Wyatt was able to drain a three of his own that pushed Alab on top.
Tucker then missed with 8 seconds to go, allowing Alab to escape with its 4th consecutive win against just one defeat.
Sam Deguara led 5 Alab double-digit scorers with his 20 points on 10/13 shooting.
Nick King had 19 points, Wyatt added 17 markers, while Brickman had 12 points and 12 assists for another double-double.
Formosa meanwhile, dropped to 2-4 in the team standings.
Tucker had 22 points, 11 boards, and 11 dimes as he played the entire match.
