PBA: Intal tried convincing Kramer to stay longer in the league
Long-time teammates JC Intal and Doug Kramer shared the basketball court for almost 2 decades, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that Intal tried to convince Kramer to stay a bit longer.
According to the PBA website, Intal and Kramer have discussed the latter’s retirement prior. Intal even urged the recently retired forward to play another conference.
“Kino-convince ko pa siyang maglaro pa ng another conference sa all-Filipino. E, ayaw na talaga,” said Intal to the PBA website.
“He wants to do other things, and I’m sure all-out support din yun family niya. Nandito lang naman kami to support him.”
Intal and Kramer were teammates at Ateneo for 5 years, putting together a string of memorable Final Four appearances.
And it is fitting that Kramer retired as Intal’s teammate at Phoenix, putting a stamp to what has been a remarkable basketball career.
