PBA approves Alaska-Blackwater trade of Cruz, Tratter
The PBA has formally approved a trade between Alaska and Blackwater that will swap frontliners Carl Bryan Cruz and Abu Tratter.
Cruz, a former Gilas Pilipinas member and a part of the Aces since the 2016 draft, will now move to the Elite while the 6-foot-7 Tratter will be in his 3rd team in a couple of years.
Alaska has been actively transacting since replacing Alex Compton with Jeff Cariaso as their head coach.
The Aces traded for Maverick Ahanmisi from Rain or Shine weeks ago, giving up Ping Exciminiano in the process.
The latest trade only gives Alaska more height to complement Sonny Thoss and Vic Manuel.
Blackwater, on the other hand, will have a stretch forward who can space the floor, knock down 3s, and rebound alongside Mac Belo and Rabeh Al-Hussaini.
