25 GenTri athletes will compete in Palarong Pambansa 2019
25 coed athletes here both from Grade School and High School will represent the locality in Region 4-A (Calabarzon) on the upcoming 62nd Palarong Pambansa in Davao City on April 27 to May 4, 2019.
Mayor Antonio Ferrer and the City Council led by Vice Mayor Morit Sison and city dads presented the 12 athletes from Elementary Level and 12 individuals in High School Division that clinched stint in the annual sports meet for basic education sports of the country during the simple held at Session Hall in City Hall Building, Tuesday during the regular session of the council.
Gold Medalist in the recent Southern Tagalog Athletics Association (STCAA) Meet in Santa Rosa City, Laguna – Elaiza Jane Salomon (440m dash, 800m, 400m hurdles, 4x100m relay and 4×400 relay-Athletics) of Pasong Kawayan 2 West Elementary School; Felicity Drew Danao (1500m 4×400 Relay-Girls) Gold of Navarro Elem. School; Drianne Sabalo amnd Khey Segundo (4x100m relay) -Gold of Pasong Kawayan 2 West Elem. School; Lee Arthur Rombase of Gen. Trias Memorial Elem. School and Ralph Lexter Galza of Gen Artemio Ricarte Memorial School (Gold-Baseball)
Raina Samantha Leyran of La Sallete Montessori for 220m medley relay, 50m backstroke,; Gerard Aguilar, James Micheal Crom, Charles Belches and Samantha Belches of Mary Cris Elementary School for the Table Tennis events.
In High School Division, Scott Norbie Arroyo of Gateway Integrated School for the 4x100m relay-athletics, Japhet Caresosa of Gov. Ferrer Memorial National High for Chess, Elvin Joseph Geluz and Laurens Quiatara of Lyceum-GenTri for Tennis, Deon Colorado, ERyn Maui DE Lima, Jaztine Garcia, Dean Granada, Craig Mijica, Jan Vernard Pabiton, Yoj Llrev Pabiton, Joshua Rodriquez and Jansen Palad of LPU-GenTri for the Volleyball Boy Division.
The LGU also cited the contribution of 15 Grade School students, who clinched 7 silvers and 8 bronze. While High School contributed 21 silvers and 13 bronze for Archery, Arnis, Basketball Girls, Boxing, Football, Swimming, Table Tennis, Athletics and Taekwondo.
