Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder live stream, preview: Watch NBA Playoffs 2016 Game 5 online
The Golden State Warriors try to climb out of a deep hole as they host the streaking Oklahoma City Thunder at the Oracle Arena for game 5 of the NBA Western Conference Finals.
A loss by the Warriors would send them to early vacation but more importantly dethrone them as NBA champions. The Thunder did steal game 1 of the series (108-102) though a different team is expected for game 5.
Steph Curry will try to fend off a reported injury though head coach Steve Kerr has refuted the claim. But the fate of the Warriors does not solely rest on Curry’s shoulders. Klay Thompson and the vanishing Draymond Green need to provide necessary help if the Warriors are to live another day.
On the other end, the Thunder are headed into the Oracle Arena with a lot of confidence. They will have three tries to finish off the defending champions but Billy Donovan knows all too well that the sooner they end the series, the better.
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will be once again at the forefront of the Thunder attack, ably supported by Enes Kanter, Dion Waiters and Stephen Adams. The only way the Thunder can lose in this series if they allow the Warriors to regain their confidence which starts by allowing them to realize that they can still pull this one off.
The Warriors have the tools to do it and their regular season record achievement is proof of such. Green has been a glaring absentee so far in the series and has become more of a distraction than of help with his court antics which many see as unnecessary.
Even if the Warriors live today, the task gets tougher with action shifting to Oklahoma City for game 6 (if necessary).
Before looking ahead that far, the Warriors need to deal with game 5 which tips off starting at 9 p.m. ET. The game will be televised by TNT. People who want to catch the game live via live stream can do so here.
