UFC Star Ronda Rousey To Host SNL on Jan. 23
After losing to Holly Holm at the UFC arena in November, Ronda Rousey is bouncing back in a different direction. This time, she’s hosting “Saturday Night Live,” which will happen on Jan. 23.
According to Forbes, sports fan should find this quite strange but it is a smart move for the fighter who may likely have a rematch with Holm in the near future. “I need to come back. I need to beat this chick. Who knows if I’m going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open. I have to [expletive] do it,” she told Forbes.
Rousey has been trying to avoid being seen in public after her loss and people close to her have revealed that she was in a fragile emotional state. But the SNL gig signals that the UFC star is ready to be in the public eye again. ESPN reported that her SNL appearance will make her more popular in mainstream media following previous exposures in movies like “Fast & Furious” and “Entourage.”
Rousey will be joined by Selena Gomez in the SNL stage as the musical guest on the night she is hosting, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
