Maggie Q and Dylan McDermott may have lost their crime series “Stalker” last season, but the pair are reportedly working together again in “Red Flag,” a Chinese-themed adventure series set in the 1800s.

The project was announced back in 2014 with David Franzoni writing the story.

The actress is set to play the role of a Chinese prostitute named Ching Shih, who became one of the most powerful pirates and crime syndicate leader in history books. McDermott, on the other hand, will play an American Revolutionary named Mason and his role will be a recurring one. Besides working together on “Stalker” for CBS, the two are also real-life couple.

Also joining the adventure series is Francois Arnaud, as the lead Carlito, a Portuguese sailor who has been hired to capture Ching Shih. They, however, will eventually become lovers.

Production for the series will be set in Malaysia and producers will be pitching the show to cable networks or digital networks for broadcasting.

Maggie Q has also recently finished filming for “Allegiant,” the third movie in the “Divergent” trilogy.
