KeNN lays it all bare on his debut release, “From Miseducation,” an eight-track EP that blends raw emotion with a refined sonic identity. The project introduces the singer-songwriter’s voice while also serving as a clear statement of intent.

At its core, “From Miseducation” redefines what the term means, turning it into a personal narrative rooted in growth and perspective. The title draws inspiration from The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, a record that played a key role in his upbringing through his DJ parents.

Memai leads KeNN From Miseducation EP

Leading the project is “Memai,” an upbeat and shimmering track that captures the dizzying rush of love. Its fast-paced arrangement mirrors emotional instability, creating a sound that feels both euphoric and unpredictable.

The track was arranged by Young_Vibe and MON/KU, who contributed across the EP to shape its cohesive sound. Its music video, directed by Takuya Setomitsu, leans into a dreamlike aesthetic that blurs the line between reality and emotion.

The song stands as one of the defining pieces of the KeNN From Miseducation EP, showcasing his ability to balance energy with emotional nuance.

Stripped-down tracks reveal KeNN’s range

Toward the latter half of the EP, KeNN shifts into a more intimate sound. “sad dance” presents a subdued, all-Japanese ballad that focuses on quiet emotional weight and restraint.

“One in α million (Acoustic)” highlights his singer-songwriter roots, emphasizing live performance sensibilities that he has developed on stage. The stripped-down arrangement allows his vocal delivery and songwriting to take center stage.

With “From Miseducation,” KeNN expands beyond a simple debut and offers a fuller picture of his artistic direction. The EP reflects both his musical foundation and his potential as he continues to evolve from studio recordings to live performances.
