Tokyo-based singer-songwriter KeNN has released his third single, One in a million, a track that fuses shimmering indie-pop with the raw emotion of heartbreak.

The single explores loneliness and longing, while KeNN’s clear, vulnerable vocals cut through cinematic production. Since its demo first surfaced online, the track has drawn strong fan reactions, leading to high anticipation for the full release.

A step toward global reach

The single also signals KeNN’s ambition to move beyond Japan. Written entirely in English, One in a million represents his bid to reach an international audience. Ahead of the release, KeNN promoted the track on a short Asian tour, with stops in Singapore and Bangkok.

KeNN collaborated with MON/KU, known for experimental electronic sounds, and Korean producer Young_Vibe, adding layered textures and fresh energy to the song.

“When I first shared the demo on social media, the reaction was incredible. To finally release it as my third single feels special,” KeNN said. “Writing in English was about more than style — it’s about reaching people everywhere. One in a million feels like a signature sound of who I am right now.”

Music video and live performance

A short version of the music video is already available, with the full version set to follow soon. The video mirrors the track’s emotional pull with cinematic visuals.

Fans in Southeast Asia will also get a live taste of the new single. KeNN is set to perform at Avex Music Night in Singapore on October 2, offering audiences an up-close experience of his emotive voice and stage presence.
