The trade sees the end of Westbrook’s tenure with the Rockets.
Joining forces with James Harden, Westbrook helped Houston to a playoff berth in the Western Conference, reaching the second round.
He will now have a chance to try and take the Wizards back to the postseason alongside Bradley Beal and young star Rui Hachimura.
Washington finished with a 25-47 record in the East last season, joining the bubble as the 9th seeded squad in their conference.
Meanwhile, Wall, who has been working out in an attempt to return, will team up with Harden this time to see if the roster change leads to a different result.
Pundits do not see any significant impact for either team, however, thinking that the trade was only done due to Wall’s and Westbrook’s similar salaries.
Wall has not played since the 2019 season due to a couple of injuries.
