NBA: 16 of 302 players tested positive for COVID-19

A total of 16 players from 302 tested are announced positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The NBA has been testing players and other participating members for the last week of June in preparation for the season’s return in Orlando.

Among those who tested positive are the Sacramento Kings’ Buddy Hield, Alex Len, and Jabari Parker, as well as Denver Nuggets all-star Nikola Jokic.

Early testing allows the NBA to quarantine the players and have them ready for travel to the “bubble” site in Orlando, Florida.

All games, which begin on July 30, will happen inside the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex owned by Disney.

Twenty-two NBA teams are participating in the resumption of the season.

Teams will travel by the first two weeks of July. Anyone who tested positive prior will need to test negative at least once before being able to join activities
