NBA Trade Rumors: Celtics, Hawks among landing spots for Clint Capela
The Houston Rockets are still continuing to find a landing spot for Clint Capela, and the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks might among the teams in the running for the center.
According to a report by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Rockets prefer to trade Capela to an Eastern Conference team. The Celtics have enough assets to come up with a deal as they have a cetton of future picks still in their disposal.
Sources: The Atlanta Hawks remain a possible landing spot for Capela too. Rockets are pursuing first-round picks to flip into a deal for a wing player and another center. Robert Covington and Andre Iguodala are among several Houston targets. https://t.co/uWXqPqEx6T

Acquiring the 25-year-old center might be a good boost to the Celtics, who have mostly wing players like Jason Tatum, Gordon Hayward, Marcus Smart, and Jaylen Brown.
Even with nagging injuries, Capela is a double-double machine, averaging 13.9 PPG and 13.8 RPG this season.
And with a playmaker like Kemba Walker, pick and rolls with Capela will give a whole new dynamic to Brad Stevens’ offense.
Defensively, Capela will be a thorn to other teams with his rebounding and shot-altering ability.
Trading for Capela might just take the Celtics to another level, as they are trying to win in the competitive East.
Currently, Boston is in the 3rd spot in their conference with a 34-15 record, behind the Toronto Raptors and league-leading Milwaukee Bucks.
