Kobe tribute: Kiefer Ravena to wear jersey no. 24 in 2020 to honor Bryant

NLEX Road Warriors star guard Kiefer Ravena will wear the jersey no. 24 for the calendar year to honor NBA legend Kobe Bryant, who passed away recently from a tragic helicopter crash.

Ravena has worn a handful of jersey numbers throughout his entire basketball career like 1 and 4, but he has been best known for wearing the number 15.

As announced on his Instagram post, he will be making the switch.

“I’ll be wearing number 24 this year, Mamba. A salute to a legacy that i will forever treasure,” the post read.

26-year-old guard has idolized Bryant since he was an amateur player.

He has a signed photo of Bryant carrying him as a toddler when the NBA superstar visited Manila many years ago.

Ravena led the Road Warriors to an 8-3 record in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup in his return from a 18-month long suspension.
