XGALX Scraps Old Identity, Rebuilds Around XG for Global Push
XGALX just blew up its own foundation. The label behind XG confirmed this week that it has fully rebranded, ditching its old structure to build a new one centered on its artists.
The move solves a mystery that had fans on edge. On September 13, XGALX’s website and every social account vanished with no warning, sparking a full day of speculation before the label explained why.

XGALX’s Rebrand Signals a Global Push
XGALX says the shift isn’t cosmetic. The label is moving away from its founding philosophy toward a structure built around the artists themselves.
Every part of the operation is expanding too. Music, management and marketing are all shifting toward a more explicitly global focus, the label said.
The label also confirmed continuity behind the scenes. The key staff who built XG from the start are staying on, giving the new era a familiar foundation.
XGALX summed up the new direction in one line. Its tagline, “Genuine Art Lives. Lives Create Culture,” is meant to guide the label’s next chapter.
XG’s New Single “DEPENDS” Arrives Amid a Breakout Year
The rebrand lands alongside big musical news. XG confirmed its new digital single, “DEPENDS,” will drop on November 6, its first release since last year’s debut album.
That album, “THE CORE,” made serious noise. It reached the Top 100 of the Billboard 200 and hit No. 1 on Billboard Japan’s Hot Albums chart in January.
The single arrives during one of XG’s busiest stretches yet. The group became the first Japanese act to play Capital’s Summertime Ball in London in June, then made its Fuji Rock Festival debut in July.
September brought another milestone. XG made its first-ever appearance at Rock In Japan Festival 2026, delivering a full-band set in Chiba just before the rebrand news broke.
The momentum stretches back through the summer too. XG took a second-headliner slot at Head In The Clouds Festival in Los Angeles back in August, right before that Chiba show.
All of this is unfolding mid-tour. The group is currently on “XG World Tour: The Core,” a 35-date run across Asia, Europe, Australia and North America.
The tour wraps with a major finale. Four shows across two nights each at Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka are set to close things out in February 2027.
Individual members have built fashion credentials too. Juria covered SPUR as part of the Dior family, while Cocona became a Gucci ambassador featured in Elle Japon, MiLK Magazine Hong Kong and Harper’s Bazaar Japan.
Jurin and Chisa added covers of their own. Jurin appeared in SPUR and Numero Tokyo, and Chisa landed her first-ever cover with Numero Tokyo.
With a rebuilt label and a new single on the way, XG’s global expansion shows no signs of slowing down. The group heads into its next era without pretending to have every answer figured out.
