There’s a new king and queen of sports-celebrity power couples, and the Beckhams have officially been dethroned.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have overtaken Victoria and David Beckham as the most powerful sports-celebrity couple in the world, according to a July 2026 study from digital entertainment platform JB.com. The report analyzed more than 20 sports-celebrity pairs to determine which ones wield the biggest public influence, factoring in search interest, media mentions, Instagram followers, and combined net worth.

Swift-Kelce Rule the Rankings, but a New Couple Is Closing In

Swift and Kelce topped the list with a perfect Power Score of 100 out of 100, driven by nearly 70,000 recent media mentions and more than 8.36 million monthly searches — numbers no other couple on the list came close to matching. Add in a combined 280.7 million Instagram followers and a fortune worth $2.09 billion, and it’s clear why the pop superstar and NFL tight end have become the most talked-about couple on the planet.

“The two get looked up by more than 8 million people every month, and the press doesn’t stop writing about them either,” the report noted, calling them the most trending pair “not only in America, but in the world.”

Nipping at their heels, however, is a couple that’s barely had time to make its relationship official. Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton landed at No. 2 despite only recently going public, already boasting the largest combined social media following in the rankings at nearly 388 million Instagram followers, and the highest combined net worth of any couple on the list at $2.45 billion. The pair has already racked up more than 50,000 media stories since confirming their relationship — a staggering pace for a couple this new.

Beckhams Slip as World Cup Buzz Builds for Soccer’s Power Pairs

The Beckhams, once the undisputed gold standard of sports-celebrity fame, now sit at No. 4. Despite David’s football career ending more than a decade ago and Victoria’s music career winding down even earlier, the couple still pulls in nearly 18 million media mentions and more than 2 million monthly searches, proof that their star power hasn’t faded entirely. They also remain the richest couple in soccer, with a combined net worth of $1.58 billion.

But the Beckhams weren’t the only soccer power couple in the top five. Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez claimed the No. 3 spot, buoyed by a staggering 737 million combined Instagram followers — the largest social following of any couple in the study — along with a $1.41 billion combined fortune. With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, the couple is expected to see a major spike in visibility.

Rounding out the top five were Ciara and Russell Wilson, whose decade-plus relationship still generates more media buzz than couples like the Currys or Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian, with more than 7,000 recent tabloid mentions and a combined fortune of $205 million.

According to JB.com’s CEO, the soccer couples are only going to get louder from here. “The World Cup is the biggest single sporting event on the planet, and it will be the soccer couples trending the most in the next few months,” the CEO said. “Georgina Rodríguez is likely to be one of the most photographed people at this tournament, but then there are the Beckhams, who we will probably see a lot this summer. David has spent years building Inter Miami into one of the most recognizable football clubs in America, and with the US hosting the World Cup, his involvement and public appearances will put the couple right back at the center of the world’s attention.”

For now, though, the crown belongs to Swift and Kelce, and the rest of the field will have to catch up.
