The release marks another effort to introduce iconic Japanese arcade titles to a wider audience. With both games arriving in one bundle, players will be able to experience two distinct takes on the vertical shooter formula.

Muchi Muchi Pork! returns

Originally known for its quirky humor and unconventional presentation, Muchi Muchi Pork! places players in a bizarre world threatened by the villainous General Pork Fillet. The antagonist transforms three residents of Butaduka City into pig-girls, forcing them to fight back using flying bikes known as Ketta Machines.

Players take control of Momo, Ikuo, or Rafute as they battle through five increasingly difficult stages filled with enemy fire and colorful adversaries. The game’s distinctive style combines fast-paced action with a playful aesthetic rarely seen in the bullet-hell genre.

A major feature of Muchi Muchi Pork! is its Medal Chaining System. Players collect pig-head medals dropped by enemies, with each consecutive pickup increasing their value as long as the chain remains unbroken.

The game also features the Lard Attack System, which rewards players for collecting parachuting pigs throughout each stage. As the lard meter fills, players gain access to a powerful attack that delivers increased damage at the cost of reduced mobility.

Bomb usage also plays a strategic role during gameplay. Activating bombs converts enemy bullets into collectible pigs, creating opportunities to build resources while clearing dangerous patterns from the screen.

PinkSweets delivers intense challenge

The second title in the bundle, PinkSweets, first gained popularity in Japanese arcades in 2006. Serving as a successor to Ibara, the game emphasizes advanced mechanics and a dynamic difficulty system designed to challenge even experienced players.

Players can choose from four different ships, each equipped with two distinct shot types. The variety allows for different approaches as players navigate seven stages packed with dense bullet patterns and relentless enemy encounters.

One of PinkSweets’ defining features is its adaptive difficulty. The game responds to strong performances by increasing the challenge level, ensuring that skilled players are constantly tested throughout their runs.

Each ship comes equipped with the Rose Cracker Shield, which can protect against certain attacks when properly managed. The shield charges when players refrain from firing their main weapon, adding another layer of strategy to survival.

Supporting the defensive system are Rosehips, floating units that help absorb incoming attacks. Players can reposition these defensive tools during gameplay, creating opportunities to counter increasingly difficult enemy patterns.
