‘Hello Kitty’ celebrates 50th Anniversary with Tmall Super Brand Day event

Sanrio celebrated Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary with an exciting debut of its Tmall Super Brand Day, capturing the hearts of fans across China.

The event, themed “Besties should stay together like Hello Kitty & Friends,” highlighted the brand’s enduring charm and included participation from over 30 licensees who introduced more than 800 Hello Kitty products.

From trendy toys to fashion collaborations with brands like Razer and TOPTOY, Hello Kitty’s 50th celebration resonated with fans, with key products like commemorative dolls selling out immediately after launch.

The festivities weren’t limited to online shopping. Hello Kitty appeared on the cover of L’Officiel and participated in an interactive, fan-driven event in Chengdu featuring live performances by DJ Hello Kitty and singer Yamy.
