NBA: No more False Alarms for Lakers
by Henry Liao
The Los Angeles Lakers’ “Big 3” of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook will finally see action collectively for the first time in NBA preseason on Wednesday (Oct. 13), Manila time.
The Lakers host the Golden State Warriors at the Staples Center, seeking a first win after an 0-4 start. The Lakers have lacked cohesiveness in those games and developing chemistry is still miles away.
The Lakers still have one remaining tuneup against the Sacramento Kings before heading to the 1,230-game regular season on Oct. 20 MT against the Warriors where games really matter.
The Tinseltown boys will open the regulars without two injured reserves – Trevor Ariza (ankle) and Talen Horton-Tucker, the youngest at 20 on a Lakers roster that is the oldest in the NBA with nine men over age 32.
