Lakers vs. Wizards: Odds, Spread, Betting Lines, Pich and Preview for April 3 Game

The Los Angeles Lakers visit the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, April 3, at the Capital One Arena. The purple and gold will be looking to make it back-to-back wins while the Wizards will try to snap a three-game slide.

Lakers need to continue winning

In their last assignment, the Lakers defeated the Toronto Raptors, 128-111. D’Angelo Russell led the team in that win with 25 points, and 7 assists.

LeBron James chipped in 23 points and 9 assists for LA. This was after he scored a career-high 40 points in that win over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, March 31.

It was LBJ’s 1,485th career game before a sellout crowd at the Barclays Center. It was the fourth time he has reached the 40-point plateau this season.

A win is important for the Lakers as they brace for the play-in tournament. Los Angeles is currently at the 9th spot in the Western Conference but stringing up wins could benefit them.

The Sacramento Kings and the Phoenix Suns are at the 7th and 8th spot as of this writing. The Lakers could catch up to these two teams and avoid the single elimination play-in game between the 9th and 10th seeds.

The Lakers are expected to continue their success in the passing game. They are 6th in the league right now with a 65.6 rating. One department they need to work on is their offensive rebounding. They rank last in the league with a 24.2.

Wizards playing spoiler

For the Wizards, the remaining games hardly matter. They are already out of the playoff race and own the second-worst record in the NBA right now, 15-61.

The Detroit Pistons have the worst record this season with a 13-62 win-loss record.

They have lost three games in a row. Their last loss was at the hands of the Miami Heat, 119-107.

Jordan Poole is expected to lead the Wizards anew. He is likely to get help from Marvin Bagley III and Kyle Kuzma although their status is listed as GTD (game-time decision).

The Wizards need to find a way to get their offense running against the Lakers. They are 25th in the league with an offensive rating of 109.9.

Their defense is also atrocious. They have a defensive rating of 118.8, 28th in the league.
