Japan B.League: Thirdy Ravena scores career-high 18 in NeoPhoenix home debut
Thirdy Ravena continued his great showing in the Japan B. League, this time pouring a career-high 18 points in his first home game with club team San-En Neo-Phoenix Wednesday.
Unfortunately, Ravena’s remarkable performance was once again negated by a close 84-85 loss to Osaka Edessa.
The former Ateneo Blue Eagle star had his best offensive display in the 1st half, knocking down three triples as he offered more from his repertoire.
However, NeoPhoenix fell to a double digit deficit after they got outscored in the middle quarters.
The home team buckled down to work int the 4th, trying to stage a final effort to steal the game.
However, down 84-85 with 5 seconds left, Ravena’s teammate opted for an errant inbound pass instead of a potential game-winning lob pass to him, as seen in the video above.
Ravena also finished with 6 rebounds and 2 assists, and was a +17 on the court in the loss.
