NBA: Celtics win as Tatum, Brown big games overcome Lillard career-high [VIDEO]
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 64 points as the Boston Celtics edged the Portland Trail Blazers, 128-124 Sunday in the NBA bubble in Orlando.
Tatum had 34 points and a career-high 8 assists, while Brown made 6 triples en route to 30 points on 60% shooting.
Tatum had 5 threes of his own. Forward Gordon Hayward added 22 points.
The Celtics overcame a career game from Damian Lillard in the process as the Blazers star had 30 points and a career-high 16 assists.
Big man Jusuf Nurkic also contributed 30 points as the Blazers are still fighting for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Portland has now fallen to 10th after the San Antonio Spurs (9th) beat the Memphis Grizzlies (8th) in the same night.
