NBA: Vintage Carmelo Anthony sinks clutch FTs in Blazers win; Nurkic returns [VIDEO]

Future Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony channeled in a vintage performance as he helped the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Memphis Grizzlies in overtime, 140-135.

Anthony, who finished with 21 points, knocked down a pair of free throws in overtime with just seconds left in the clock to push the Blazers lead up to 5.

His co-stars CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard had 33 and 29 points, respectively, providing support. Lillard also dished out 9 assists.

The game also marked the return of Jusuf Nurkic, who had a broken leg last season. He scored 18 points.

The Grizzlies were led by 33 points from Jaren Jackson and 22 points from Ja Morant.

The win pushed the Blazers to the 9th seed, just 1.5 games behind the Grizzlies and a game ahead of the San Antonio Spurs.

If the 9th seed is within 4 games back of the 8th seed, there will be a play-in round wherein the 8th seed is twice-to-beat.
