NBA: Dwight Howard to join Lakers in Orlando, donate rest of season salary
Dwight Howard will join the Los Angeles Lakers in Orlando after all.
After considering sitting out the NBA season restart, the veteran big man will instead be part of the Lakers for the games which shall start on July 30th.
It will be a big boost for the Western Conference-leading Lakers, who have already lost Avery Bradley as the guard opted to be with his family.

The Lakers signed J.R. Smith recently to fill the gap left by Bradley.
Howard’s decision would mean a better rotation in the frontcourt along with JaVale McGee and Anthony Davis.
The 6-11 center has been a consistent contributor for the Lakers off the bench, averaging 7.5 PPG, 7.4 RPG, and 1.2 BPG.
Howard formerly considered sitting out to focus on social justice campaigns but as a compromise, he will donate the rest of his season salary.
The Lakers are still atop the Western Conference standings with a 49-14 record.
