NBA: Clippers’ Landry Shamet not joining Orlando after testing positive
The Los Angeles Clippers will be without sharpshooter Landry Shamet in Orlando as the guard tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).
The development is a blow to the Clippers’ campaign, as Shamet is one of the team’s key contributors off the bench.

Shamet is averaging 9.7 PPG while shooting 39.1% from downtown.
He has also started in 27 of the 47 games while either the Clippers superstars, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were resting or injured.
With Shamet’s absence, more load has to be shouldered by Patrick Beverley and Reggie Jackson.
The Clippers are 2nd in the Western Conference but other contenders like the Denver Nuggets, OKC Thunder, Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz, and Dallas Mavericks are just trailing a few games behind.
