Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant will not make his debut for the team for the remainder of the 2020 season. A Nets beat writer broke the story.

The 6-9 Durant has been sidelined since the 2019 NBA Finals when he ruptured his achilles while playing for the Golden State Warriors.
He has been out since. And although Durant has been recovering steadily, all signs point to him opting out of the season.
Durant also tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this year.
The 2-time NBA champion and 2014 MVP signed with Brooklyn last summer, forming a superteam with Kyrie Irving and DeAndre Jordan.
The Nets are currently in the hunt for a playoff spot even without their 2 injured superstars Irving and Durant.
