COVID-19: PSC suspends all sporting events until December 2020
The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) has decided to cancel all of its sporting events thru December 2020 as part of safety measures while the entire country is fighting off the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The PSC made the decision with respect to the government’s directives.
Metro Manila and other areas have already extended Enhanced Community Quarantine until May 15th.
Fortunately, the PSC will still give allowances to national team coaches and players.
One of the events hit by the cancellation is the 10th ASEAN Paragames, which was supposed to open last January but was moved and is now suspended as well.
Other professional leagues like the PBA and Philippine Super Liga, as well as the UAAP and NCAA, have already called off their respective seasons.
