Kai Sotto projected to be 2021 NBA Draft 1st round pick
Filipino teenage basketball sensation Kai Sotto is seen as a 1st round pick, according to one website keeping tabs with projections for future NBA Drafts.
As of January 2020, website draftsite.net projects that Sotto, the 7-foot-1 phenom, as the 24th pick in the 2021 draft class which is also expected to include Fil-American Jalen Green.
Of course, nothing is still certain yet, but it is encouraging that scouting reports are already recognizing Sotto’s potential.
Sotto is also ranked no. 75 in the ESPN 100 list for 2020, a list of the best 100 high school prospects in the United States.
The former Ateneo Blue Eaglet has also earned a 4-star prospect status, which was the same status for current NBA players like Kawhi Leonard and Draymond Green.
Sotto has been training religiously with TSF, in his hopes of making it to the NBA around 2021 or 2022.
The big man will also be suiting up for Mighty Sports in the Dubai Invitational later this month.
