PBA: Tautuaa could be puzzle piece San Miguel Beermen needs
Newly-acquired San Miguel big man Moala Tautuaa believes he has what it takes to fit the system of his new squad.
Traded one-on-one earlier this week for Christian Standhardinger, Tautuaa vowed to work hard to make things smooth-running.
Said Tautuaa per the PBA website:
“I just want to help. I just want to be a better player and help.
They thought I can fit over here so they brought me here over SMB, so I’m going to work as hard as I can to get my job done to help the team.”
The no. 1 overall pick of the PBA Draft, Tautuaa will now join forces with 5-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo to form a formidable frontline combination.
And Tautuaa added chemistry won’t be an issue as the coaching staff will try to figure out how to balance the frontliners’ minutes on the floor.
“I think I’ll fit fine playing with Junemar (Fajardo). I know how he plays. Maybe I can fit that little piece that they (Beermen) need.”
