The upcoming Jurassic World 3 is generating buzz not only for its star-studded cast including Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard but also for the potential return of former child actors from the classic Jurassic Park. Sources reveal that Joe Mazzello and Ariana Richards, who famously portrayed the grandkids in the 1993 hit, are open to a cameo or more in the new film.

This exciting possibility comes on the heels of the announcement that original Jurassic Park stars—Jeff Goldblum (Dr. Ian Malcolm), Sam Neill (Dr. Alan Grant), and Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler)—will be reuniting for the franchise. Although Goldblum, Neill, and Dern have made individual returns in the past, this will mark the first time they appear together in the same film.

Jeff Goldblum expressed his enthusiasm on Instagram:

“Happy as a clam-asaurus to be reunited with my brilliant costars [Laura Dern] and [Sam Neill] for the next installment of Jurassic World…coming soon.”

Chris Pratt also commented on the return of the original stars, emphasizing the film’s ambitious narrative.

“I can’t believe that we’re going to make that movie, and I can’t believe they found a way to deliver on the promise of the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. It’s going to be pretty epic… You will not be disappointed.”

While the veteran actors are set to return, the involvement of the former child actors is still up in the air. Ariana Richards, now 40 and out of the acting scene since 2013, and Joe Mazzello, who has continued his career in film and television with roles in projects like the 2018 hit Bohemian Rhapsody, are reportedly interested in revisiting their iconic roles if asked.

Director Colin Trevorrow is expected to helm the film once again, co-writing the script alongside other top creatives. With Steven Spielberg returning as an executive producer—having directed the first two Jurassic Park films—the reunion of cast members from different eras promises to bridge the legacy of Jurassic Park with the new chapter of Jurassic World.

Production for Jurassic World 3 is set to begin soon, targeting a release date that will thrill fans who have followed the franchise for decades.
