VIDEO: Rabeh Al-Hussaini becoming a 3-point shooter?

As the game of basketball continues to evolve, Rabeh Al-Hussaini of the Blackwater Elite is also working double time to transform his game into one that fits modern basketball.

Al-Hussaini came up with a big triple in the Elite’s 112-104 win last Sunday night over the Alaska Aces in the on-going 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

The slotman hit his 2nd 3 with 1:22 left which pushed Blackwater’s lead to 109-104.

He scored 12 points on 2/4 from 3-point area as Blackwater finished with a franchise-best 7-4 elimination round record, putting themselves in a prime position entering the playoffs. He also had 5 rebounds in under 25 minutes of play.

After the game, the former Ateneo Blue Eagle said he has been practicing his long range shots to keep up with the ever-changing game.

“One basket at a time,” said Al-Hussaini. “I’ve been working at it in the post season, changing my game since obviously the game is changing. It’s more of the perimeter”

The 6-foot-7 center has always been known for his hook shots and short jumpers, but extending that range has proven beneficial for the veteran journeyman.

“(I’m doing it) para maging helpful sa team,” said Al-Hussaini.
