“The Flash” Season 4 has concluded although the finale once again left more questions than answers. Team Flash, led by Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), finally defeated Clifford DeVoe (Neil Sandilands) but more importantly got back one beloved family member in Ralph Dibny/ Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer).

There were other notable things that happened like Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) getting back part of his intelligence while Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) and Cecille Horton (Danielle Nicolet) saw the birth of their new baby girl (named Jenna).

With baby Jenna given an appropriate christening party at the West house, a sign of things to come may have just been popped by Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton). While Iris was just kidding Barry to see his reaction should they have a child, the inevitable happened.

A knock on the door revealed a lot, more so the things to come in season 5 of “The Flash.” It was the mystery girl who had occasionally showed up in previous episodes and apparently it was the time to make a revelation.

It turns out that the girl was Dawn (Jessica Parker Kennedy), who could be Barry and Iris’ daughter. Already appearing in two past episodes (“The Elongated Man Rises” and the “Crisis on Earth-X” crossover), her sudden appearance explains Barry’s revelation that there was another speedster present when he was trying to stop DeVoe’s satellite, TV Line reported.

While Dawn’s assistance to Flash prevented a catastrophe, she revealed that there is a bigger danger ahead and she will need some help. According to her, she may have done something to alter the future, hinting that Barry (and probably Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker)) may be doing some time traveling next season. Could it be another Flashpoint in the making?

“I’m your daughter, Nora, from the future,” the girl explains, “and I think I made a big, big mistake.”

There are plenty of theories to consider. Also, there is the case of the Tornado Twins as raised by IGN. In the comics, Barry and Iris have twins in Don and Dawn Allen. Both inherit Barry’s connection to the Speed Force, the reason behind their speed and their handle. Curiously, only Dawn has appeared. So the next question is whether there is another speedster coming forth.

From the looks of it, there is another Flashpoint issue to deal with. It seems to be what Dawn was pertaining to but the better question to ask is if this would have any ramifications on Barry and Team Flash in the current timeline.
