Time: 8:00 AM
Venue: Ramon Magsaysay Hall, Social Security System Building, East Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City
Greetings! ORIANG is the name of a new movement of women launching this Women’s Month on March 2017. Women leaders from across social and sectoral movements will be convening to officially launch Oriang, an organization fighting for women’s rights and for gender justice alongside calls for a better world for their families and children.
Among these women will be veteran feminist activists engaged in fights for global climate justice, defense of democracy, human rights, workers’ rights, and the right to livelihood and housing.
After the assembly, women leaders will be holding a protest action in solidarity with the widening movement against DOLE’s DO 174 and persisting labor contractualization.
