Goodbye ‘Gilmore Girls’? Lauren Graham Nabs Lead Role For A Comedy Pilot On Fox?

“Gilmore Girls” favorite Lauren Graham has booked a lead role in a comedy pilot set on Fox. The show, entitled “Linda From HR” is from up-and-coming writers Itai Grunfeld and Geoff Barbanell.

“Linda From HR” centers on Linda Plugh who makes a single bad decision that completely changes her life. From a boring existence, Linda has to balance her work and personal life and try to keep one big secret intact.

It’s still unclear who will be joining Graham in the series but Tracy Katsky, Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor are coming aboard as executive producers. Marc Buckland has been tasked to direct the pilot. per TV Line.

Meanwhile, Graham’s most recent work was the special limited release of “Gilmore Girls” on Netflix and the revival series was a success. Talks about another potential revival surfaced but Amy Sherman-Palladino, the show’s creator had this to say: “We really had a very specific journey in our minds and we fulfilled the journey. So to us, this is the piece that we wanted to do. And the whole thought about, ‘Is there more? Is there more?! Is there more?!!’ -— this has to go out into the universe now. We’ve got to put this to bed. I can’t look at this show anymore.”

Graham is also set to guest star in “Curb Your Enthusiasm” Season 9 for HBO. “Linda From HR” will be her first full-time show after “Parenthood,” which ended in 2015.
