‘Superstore’ Will Return For Season 3 On NBC
NBC’s “Superstore” with America Ferrera and Ben Feldman will return to the network for a third season. The show received an early renewal and it will be paired with “The Good Place,” which has been renewed for a second season a few weeks back.
“Superstore” is a comedy series about workers from the grocery chain store Cloud 9. The show was not a runaway hit when it debuted midseason in early 2016, but it did impress the network as it steadily grew its audience.
“Superstore” is currently the number one comedy in the digital platform of NBC, as well as in Hulu.
“We are extremely proud of Superstore, which is one of the smartest and funniest comedies on television today,” Jennifer Salke NBC Entertainment President said in the press release. “Through the show’s expertly drawn characters, our producers and cast do a remarkable job touching on many issues in which audiences can relate. To its credit, not only does Superstore make us laugh, but it makes us think as well.”
“Superstore” also stars Colton Dunn, Nichole Bloom, Nico Santos, Mark McKinney and Lauren Ash. The show is created and written by Justin Spitzer.
In response to the renewal announcement, America Ferrera tweeted that she’s excited about the third season. Fans would like her character to end up with Jonah (Feldman) but in the current episodes, she’s still going through therapy with her husband.
