‘Iron Chef America’ To Return On The Food Network As ‘Iron Chef Gauntlet’ Get The Details

“Iron Chef America” is getting a reboot on the Food Network. The rebranded series will be rebranded as “Iron Chef Gauntlet” with new never-been done challenges. It will retain Alton Brown as its host.

NEW YORK – November 28, 2016 – Food Network today announced plans for new series Iron Chef Gauntlet, a reimagined reboot of Iron Chef America, the long-running, fan-favorite series based on the Japanese cult classic known for its fierce competition, secret ingredients and the ultimate culinary bragging rights for its victors and champions.

The inimitable Alton Brown, Iron Chef America’s iconic commentator, is set to return as host and master of ceremonies and also confirmed the news today on his social media platforms. Pre-production is currently underway for the new series which will take its cues from the original along with some new twists and turns. Production is scheduled for early 2017 with a target series launch date in Q2 2017.

New series is being produced by Triage Entertainment in conjunction with Food Network and is based on the format Iron Chef owned by Fuji Television Network Inc.
