First Love is Never Returned” officially released their latest single “Good Morning,” a track written as the theme song for TV Asahi’s weekday program Good! Morning. The show notably achieved the highest audience ratings in its 7 AM time slot among all Japanese broadcasters in 2025.

Inspired by the quiet, everyday rhythms of mornings at home, “Good Morning” captures the small yet meaningful moments that define daily life. The track features a bright and refreshing pop sound, while also reflecting vocalist and songwriter Kazuki Ishida’s musical roots, including his experience studying vocal performance in New York.

Though created specifically for television, the song remains grounded in the band’s signature storytelling style. Rather than presenting an overly polished sense of optimism, it embraces the relatable emotions tied to ordinary mornings.

A visual and creative collaboration

The release is accompanied by a music video that brings the song’s atmosphere to life. The project sees the band reunite with producer Yosuke Yamaguchi of koe Inc., continuing a creative partnership that has helped shape their visual identity.

Rising filmmaker Ao Inoue takes on directing duties for the first time, adding a fresh perspective to the band’s evolving artistic direction.

“LEAP OUT” tour set to mark major milestone

Coinciding with the single’s release, First Love is Never Returned will launch their #FLiNR S/S TOUR 2026 “LEAP OUT” this April. Rooted in Japan’s live house scene, the tour highlights collaboration through co-headline performances with fellow acts.

Stops include Tokyo, Sapporo, and Osaka, before culminating in the band’s biggest headline show yet at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO on July 24. The finale is set to serve as both a celebration of their journey and a statement of their future direction.

Tickets for the co-headline shows are now on general sale, while lottery pre-orders are ongoing for the final solo headline concert.
