The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in Los Angeles has found no basis for the abuse allegations against Brad Pitt. His ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, is also expressing satisfaction of the results of the investigation.

According to CNN, the DCFS would not reveal the details of the investigation but sources close to Brad Pitt said that the matter has already been dropped. The abuse allegations stemmed from Brad supposedly shouting and hitting one of his kids during a fight with Angelina Jolie. It allegedly happened while the family was on a private plane for home.

“Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their 8-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal,” a statement from Angelina Jolie’s camp read, according to Variety.

Angelina Jolie announced the couple’s divorced in September after nearly 12 years of being together. The actress is seeking full custody of their six kids — Maddox, 15; Pax, 12; Zahara, 11; Shiloh, 10; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.

Brad Pitt has contested and has filed for joint custody last week, but has now agreed that the kids will be staying with their mother while the actor will have “therapeutic visits.”
