Janet Jackson’s first pregnancy is grabbing the headlines. At 50-years-old, her condition might be considered risky, but she’s definitely enjoying the pregnancy.

The singer is scheduled to give birth in a few weeks and a source close to the hit maker revealed that she has already picked out a name for the baby. “Janet plans to name the baby in some way after Michael,” the source revealed through Life & Style.

Janet Jackson is apparently going to undergo a C-section, given the nature of her pregnancy. Questions about her state have cropped up as potential complications like preeclampsia, which could lead to stroke can happen while she’s in the delivery room. Hence, the doctors are ensuring she and the baby will be in the best of health so the birth has been scheduled in early November.

Janet Jackson is married to Wissam Al Mana. In April, the singer has already been rumored to be in the family way, but the family refused to validate the stories. Instead, her people only said that she was postponing her tour for personal reasons.

CNN reports that Janet Jackson has been keeping a low profile since her pregnancy and only made an official announcement of her condition this week. She has also been seen at stores picking out baby supplies with her growing baby belly in full view of passers-by.
