Fox Renews ‘Gotham’ For Season 3

Gotham-title-card-season-2“Gotham” is coming back for another season. Fox has confirmed that the show will return for another year after earning nine million viewers on average each week.

“It takes a very special team to tell the tales of GOTHAM. For the past two seasons, Bruno, Danny and John have masterfully honored the mythology of GOTHAM and brought it to life with depth, emotion and memorable high drama,” said David Madden, Fox’s president in a press release. “This incredibly talented cast has redefined these iconic characters for a new generation, and we couldn’t be more proud of this show”

The show has been ranking in the top 10 shows for the 18-49 bracket this season and it is one of Fox’s top five programs.

“Gotham” is still in the midst of Season 2 and will feauture a big episod on March 21 with Paul Reubens as guest in a storych arch that will bring in more villains. BD Wong wil also be dropping by in the series as Hugo Strange, a notorius villain.

“Gotham” charts the story of super-villains in the Batman city, where  Gordon (played by Ben McKenzie) is still a young police detective. The show was created by Bruno Heller based on the DC Comic series.
