Globe changes Wi-Fi experience in PH; rolls out high speed Wi-Fi service in Serendra
In line with efforts to elevate the state of Philippine internet, Globe Telecom rolled out an ultra-fast Wi-Fi connection with speeds ranging from 16 Mbps up to 100 Mbps, depending on the density of foot traffic. Initially offered for free, the service is now available in Serendra, a prime property development in Bonifacio Global City.
According to Globe Chief Technical and Information Officer Gil Genio, customers on the ground floor of Serendra Piazza will be able to experience the Wi-Fi service, elevating both their dining experience and digital lifestyle. Serendra is the first of many areas in the country that will be covered by Globe Telecom’s Go Wi-Fi service.
“This project supports our commitment to further elevate the state of Philippine internet given the undeniable impact of high-speed internet in the lives of our customers. We’re hoping this initiative of providing ultra-fast internet connection in major areas of convergence such as Serendra would help build momentum of further driving economic activities in the country,” Genio said.
Areas that are covered by the Go Wi-Fi service in Serendra include Mogu Japanese Bar and Grill, Gelatissimo Café, Larry’s Café Bar, PowerBooks, Saboten Japanese Outlet, Zao Vietnamese Bistro, Wang Fu Chinese Café, Coldstone Creamery, Lartizan Restaurant, Mary Grace, Chelsea Grand Café, Wee Nam Kee, 8 Cuts Burger Blends, Abe, Balducci Ristorante and Sentro 1771. Genio added Globe customers get 60 minutes per day of access while non-Globe customers get 30 minutes per day of access during the trial period.
